Nanoparticles are particles between 1 and 100 Nano meters in size. In nanotechnology, a particle is defined as a small object that behaves as a whole unit with respect to its transport and properties. Particles are further classified according to diameter.The distinct characteristics of nanoparticles arise from quantum effects and the dominance of surface atoms. At the Nano scale, materials can exhibit enhanced catalytic activity, increased strength, altered electrical properties, and improved magnetic behaviors.
